Auction Terms
Last updated September 2026
The rules that apply to every auction hosted on the platform, unless a listing states otherwise.
Bidding mechanics
Bidding uses proxy (maximum) bids: enter the most you are willing to pay and the system bids on your behalf in minimum increments only as needed to keep you in the lead.
Minimum increments are shown on each lot and scale with the current price. Ties are resolved in favour of the earlier maximum bid.
Anti-sniping extension
If a bid is placed inside the final minutes of an auction, the closing time extends so every bidder has a fair chance to respond. Extensions repeat until no new bid arrives in the window.
Reserve prices
Some lots carry a confidential reserve. If bidding ends below the reserve, the seller is not obliged to sell, and the highest bidder may be offered the lot at the reserve amount.
Inspections
Where a seller publishes inspection slots, you may book a time from the listing page. Inspection is strongly recommended: all lots sell AS-IS and bids are binding.
Close, payment and removal
Winners are notified immediately after close. Payment is due within the window stated on the listing, and removal is at the buyer's cost and risk from the location shown.
Titles, registrations and any required documents are transferred by the seller after funds clear.
Cancellations
We may cancel a lot or a bid where there is a listing error, suspected manipulation, legal restriction or a seller ownership problem. Cancellation is not an admission of liability.
