Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

This Policy explains what personal information The Marketplace Auctions collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information you provide: full name, email address, phone number, mailing address, ZIP code and country, plus business details if you register as a seller.

Marketplace activity: listings, bids, watchlists, inspection bookings, messages and support tickets.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and usage analytics used to secure the platform and detect fraud.

Payment data

We do not store raw credit or debit card numbers. Deposits and payments are processed by PCI-compliant payment providers; we retain only a reference, the last four digits and the status of the transaction.

How we use information

To operate auctions, verify identity, calculate bid eligibility and deposits, prevent fraud, provide customer support, meet legal and tax obligations, and — with your consent — send marketing email you can unsubscribe from at any time.

Sharing

Winning bidders and sellers exchange the contact details needed to complete payment, inspection and removal. We also use service providers (hosting, payments, email, analytics) bound by confidentiality obligations.

We never sell your personal information.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data by writing to support@themarketplaceauctions.com. We retain transaction records where required by law even after account closure.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security policies, and sensitive contact details are hidden from anonymous visitors.
